![]() There s plenty utilities able to trace images which you can then import to Affinity apps See my post above for a few of them Sooooo Affinity Designer doesn t have an auto trace Image Reddit ![]() Image Trace to Vector Path Affinity Forum Though Affinity Designer doesn t have a Live Trace feature there are other ways for designers to trace the outline of a raster image This is usually easier ![]() Having the ability to trace vector copies of your images is a standard feature of any vectors Does Affinity Designer Have a Live Trace Feature All Free Mockups They just lack some better UI usability.Trace An Image To Vector Manually with Affinity Designer YouTube optimized Potrace & Autotrace based tracers, when setup and used the right way, do produce good quality results. Also the Inkscape's included, by their dev team custom color quantisation etc. ( we also once compared some of them here in the forum in some older threads)Īn algorithmic and output quality wise even nowadays still hard to beat vector tracer is VectorMagic. BTW, AI capabilities aren't needed to get and determine some halfway good tracing quality, there are some older tracing algorithms (>= 7 years) which are quality wise still unmatched by nowadays (more modern) implemented tracers. And most people who are often giving their two cents here in the forum, either way seem to don't know much about bitmap-to-vector tracing in general. Well it's overall not that easy at all to build some outstanding good own tracing algorithm. But then one can hardly expect that Affinity will be better than specialized companies that also use artificial intelligence.
